UPTOWN SPECIAL "The Funky President" Edition feat. Ko Flow & Shellsuit
This August, Matteblacc brings you a special installment of Uptown with the "The Funky President" edition.
As they pay homage to the funkiest breaks that have rocked the world since the earliest block parties in Brooklyn, they bring in two renowned purveyors of Funk, Soul and Turntablism with Ko Flow and Shellsuit (of Pushin' On/Sundays At The Training Shed).
They even have a special secret guest who will also grace the decks, a DJ / artist who has been making waves internationally, with gigs in Europe and Japan.
If you're wondering why they are throwing Uptown one week early (as it's usually on the 3rd Saturday of each month), it's also a lead up event to their "Adidas All Originals Represent - Breathe And Stop - Singapore Show" which will shake the Hip Hop scene in Singapore on Thursday, 16th August featuring Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Maseo and Shortkut.
This Uptown they will holding open auditions to all Urban Dancers of all styles. If you think you can throwdown with the best of them, show up and get a chance to perform with the top 15 dancers at the Breathe And Stop Event, and win attractive prizes from adidas, Pioneer Steez, and Urbanears.
