For Nicky C, growing up in the 80's meant a healthy dose of electronic versus rock & pop music. He plays a well balanced fusion of progressive, electro & techno. Bt the late 90's, he quickly gained recognition as one of the key catalysts of the Malaysian dance scene. Superclubs & legendary venues like The BackRoom KL, 1251, Movement, Zouk, Pudu Prison, The KL Tower & The Bukit Jalil National Stadium - have all received a taste of Nicky's sound & he has played alongside legends such as Fatboy Slim, Seb Fontaine, X-Press 2, Bob Sinclar & K-Klass.
After signing a deal with GateCrasher UK's residents Riley & Durrant 's NU Breed Music in 2008, Nicky's remixes & original productions have been very much in demand & he has appeared on labels such as OneWithMusic, ToolBar Records, Pollux Records, Elektrax Progressive, Movement Recordings, Asia Music & on his own, fresh new label, 220V Recordings.
Amongst some of the international artists Nicky has played alongside include Giants such as Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Kenny Ken, K-Klass, Qatarra, X-Press 2, DJ Disciple, Sandy Rivera, Jerome Sydenham, Bryan Gee, Agnelli & Nelson, Ashley Casselle, AJ Gibson, Shy FX, Booker T, Julius Papp, Bob Sinclar, April Brinkha, Alex Pratt, Fatboy Slim, Dirty Vegas & Seb Fontaine.
Nicky is no stranger to chart topping tunes either - In 2006, his remix of Mori Kante's 'YEKE YEKE' went on to reach #1 on the national 'MET 10' charts of HITZ FM 92.9MHZ. In 2009, his remix of MC ILLMATIKA 'CARZ' debuted on FLY FM's CAMPUR Chart at #10, reaching a final position of #5 in a matter of weeks, and in 2010, The InkFish & Christo Fourkis's Remixes of Nicky C's 'DEZHAVU' reached the #1 spot on the world-famous
